Billy watches as all the kids do exactly what he's been trying to tell them to do for the last hour the second the words leave Steve's mouth and he frowns, more frustrated buy finally relieved.

"No, I guess not." Billy sips his own beer, while the kids continue to run amok around the house, completely ignoring Billy and Steve hiding under the table. "Yeah, my secret is going to be that you do this from now on.

"You get to hang out with your children and I don't kill one of them." His tone is light and it's clear he's teasing; he doesn't have any desire to hurt any of them. They're shit heads but they're mostly good kids.

"I'm not risking Max's wrath again. That bitch is scary." There's no heat to his tone when he says it though because despite what had happened two years ago, they were on good terms now. He called her 'shitbird' affectionately, after all.

There's no doubt in Billy's mind that Max is far more terrifying than El. El has a sweetness about her that none of the other kids -except maybe Will- have and that Max certainly doesn't.

Pouring two glasses of Jack Daniels, he hands one to Eddie and then leads the way into his little lounge. It’s mostly open plan between the kitchen, dining and lounge area but at least it’s tidy and his couch isn’t gross or anything. The tv is on, muted and there’s music playing from his stereo, the volume relatively low considering and there’s a few cassettes stacked on the floor beside it, from where he’s changed them and not bothered to put them away.
“Make yourself comfortable, man.” He drops onto one end of the couch and sighs.

Eddie takes the glass and gives a nod for thanks. He's never actually been to Billy's place but they have had a few run ins with each other at certain parties. Very much like the one last night.
